Be still my rock-star heart; an ode to the stud. My dearest stud, no matter your shape – be it cone or spike, grommet or thorn – you make the ordinary quite extraordinary. You adorn my bracelets, my earrings, my necklaces and rings. You dazzle my gloves, my shoes, my belts and my bags. From a white tee worn with jeans, to a coat or a jacket – even black tie attire, you mix and you match, add texture and edge.
Gladly, I would swim through a rough sea made of studs. I would stud my walls and my windows, eat from studded bowls, with studded spoons, even walk on a carpet made of studs. And, on the day I take my last breath, from my studded bed, the last words I whisper will surely be “stud”.
